I personally don't label every build. I just let the build client act as the label. That way if a file is synced to fix the build there is no chance that you forget to update the label. The build system keeps as many builds as you want to alot space for and deletes the oldest unmarked for save build then starts the new one. The client name is also "stamped" into the build and does make it into the final label information.

I like to reserve labels for significant points like QA handoffs and releases but if you do have a build runner tool, it's probably not too much trouble to have it create labels and remove them the same as it removes builds.

This is a general build/release type question; I was wondering for those shops that are doing nightly builds how many are also creating daily labels? Are they any advantages to this? It seesm that creating daily labels would just create a lot of extra labels that might not be used.
