Hi all,

I have been debugging a problem where my process_email.php script will die occasionally, leaving unprocessed mail which never seems to be recovered. I have traced it back to where I know that it is the variable that is used to contain the data read from the socket. It just seems to be unusable. I have checked to see if it contains FALSE - if($line != FALSE) and that doesn't seem to catch it. Is that correct? If it is, is there a way to safely validate its contents?
