I saw this one. The last one from you before this one was ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Sent: Tuesday, April 26, 2005 5:48 PM Subject: Slow

Hi,

I've changed from 4.0.x to 4.1.x serve version and sinse them i've noticed a big slowdown in the "thing". Looking at the logs i see everytime a connection ia made something like "show variables", could if be because of this? I think someone some time ago already wrote something about this...refering the same case.

I guess nobody has noticed their "thing"s moving slower than normal (whatever those are) or they are just too embarrased to admit it. You say that someone may have already written about this, what did your research turn up?

To be brutally honest, your post was quite vague. What kind of slowdowns have you noticed? Was it during connections, normal ops, certain types of queries,...? When your "thing" started to move slowly, did you consider taking it to a doctor or calling a technician? What have you tried changing to make the slow behavior go away (different diet, a warmer bed, more sunlight, less sunlight, a little axle grease,...?)

What you basically said in your last post was "I just changed the steering wheel in my car and now it doesn't behave like it used to". What changed? How is it different? What is the magnitued of the different between the old and new behaviors? Is there anything else you may have changed? You left too much to the imagination. I think that's why nobody responded.
