You only want the latest versions. If you want to run this with Mono on a MacBook, you want this one:

Choose the .MSI install if you are running a windows systems for the most convenient way of getting to know the library and it's documentation. Note that the download (both .msi as well as the zipped file) contain the HTML documentation as well as an .CHM file for Windows users.
Here is the list of the most important changes:
