No, there currently isn't anything like that.. But It wouldn't be very
difficult to add to the client, if anyone is up for some programming :)

Can't find any references anywhere.
Something like
mysql> \f log.file
So that the output of following actions is copied to the 'log.file' as well
as the screen.
