Todd, thanks. I later discovered that the reason I thought the xLine2Line.rb wasn't working is that I tried to convert a guide line and realized that it only works on converted edge lines.
Why do I want parameric.rb? There isn't any such animal on the reference website. There is a parametric_grid.rb which I downloaded just to see what it was. However, when opening SU, I got an error = Error Loading File parametric_grid.rb No such file to load -- ./parametric.rb

Go back and get parametric.rb too.
Can't help you with xLine2Line.rb. See if you can contact the author, (by reading the .rb file with Notepad or equivalent) or post more information about your process and perhaps someone else who has used the script can help.

Todd, I've been sorting through the above Ruby Library and have successfully downloaded a number of useful scripts. However, the following have not downloaded as a .rb file and won't convert or has not worked once downloaded. By not worked, I mean it doesn't show up in the menu described.
xLine2Line.rb - downloads ok and shows up in Context Menu but does convert guide line to edge.
shapes.rb - downloads ok but produces error message below when opening up SU. Doesn't appear in the Draw Menu. Error Loading File shapes.rb No such file to load -- parametric.rb

Todd, thanks. I see now that I needed to right click to get the save as command.
