Yes, I would be interested to hear about this also.

As far as I know, it's not. There is some kind of hack built into p4 to format input and output to "marshalled Python dictionary objects", but that seems to have limited usefulness (perhaps only useful to Python users ;)) I might argue that XML would have a somewhat broader appeal.
