Hi,

When 5.0.2 was released our attention was completely on getting 4.1 stable and so the first fully tested 5.0 version of MySQL Cluster is 5.0.3 and obviously the last one is as usual the one containing least problems.

I am not sure who the maintainer is, or how often they update the distribution (how old is 5.0.9?).

According to the port's Makefile, the maintainer is ale(at)FreeBSD.org. Note that the ports tree is currently frozen in preparation for 6.0-RELEASE (and has been so for quite a while now) so that upgrading MySQL will require justification.
