Hi,

this looks like a basic problemto me, but alas, I can't solve it and couldn't find anything useful on Google.

The problem: Mails to root are not delivered. Postfix gives this status message:

- - - Schnipp - - - Final-Recipient: rfc822; ro@tinkerbell.yoo.local Action: failed Status: 4.0.0 Diagnostic-Code: X-Postfix; temporary failure. Command output: maildrop: Unable to change to home directory. - - - Schnapp - - -

Now I hope I don't have to open up my root's home directory just to get a few mails delivererd. Is there any way to use Maildrop to avoid this problem?

Maildrop is called like this: mailbox_command = maildrop -A "X-Address-Extension: $Extension"

This is a Debian Sarge system, Maildrop is 1.5.3-1, Postfix is 1.1.11-0.woody3.

Thanks in advance for any help or pointers you can give.

Thorsten
