Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately sed doesn't appear to be the culprit. I have just installed GNU sed 4.1.4 and configure has provided the output below. Does anyone have any further suggestions?

Note that I am now trying to build version 1.1.12 of the Query Browser now that it is available.
