Hey all, hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd post this here since I spent some time digging through posts here to write it:

Basically it's a high-level intro to libjingle, talking about its intent, potential, and problems. I'd hoped to focus more on interfacing with the code and writing an example app than focusing on just how to get the thing to compile under Cygwin/Windows, but, alas, it is what it is.

Anyhow, if you're looking for somewhere to get up to speed on libjingle I hope you'll check it out and I'd love to hear some feedback.
