New XML-RPC development is not supported or encouraged for Blogger. Use the GData (Atom-based) API.

hi all.
lets see if i can post with thunderbird...
Im new to XML/RPC and am writing a blog system. Im using PHP to do all the scripting in and flat file text databases to store posts. how would I go about implementing a blogger backend? I looked on the many websites about it ( I was sent here by Keith Devins' post on XML/RPC in PHP) and have yet to find a suitible library/simple tutorial on how to use Bloggers backend API.
For those interested, posts are in this format: posttitle$postername$posteremail$POST DATA $$comment title$commentor$commentorEmail$commentdata$YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS $$commenttitle$commentor$commentoremail$commentdata$YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS$$ (repeats like that KEEPING '$$' as end seperator.) the filename is YYYYMMDDHHMMSS.txt
This is to be integrated into the doop cms system (mydoop.org) and i've done some big changes to make this usable
