Build / Release Engineer

NOMOS? is seeking a highly qualified individual to join our team of experienced software engineers and quality assurance engineers. The primary responsibility of the Build Engineer is to work with other team members in development, support and QA to establish and maintain a source code control environment. The Build Engineer also ensures that all products are built, installed, smoke tested and released consistently.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Establishes and maintains a source code control environment for all products and solutions including third party components * Creates a stable and scalable build system, including build scripts and Integrated Development Environments, for all development teams * Performs and manages all software builds and releases to Quality Assurance and Production * Assists in establishing and implementing configuration management program, policies and procedures * Verifies nightly builds and automated smoke tests * Assists in integrating source code control with bug tracking systems * Works with developers to troubleshoot build problems * Coordinates with teams to produce documentation and release notes * Runs build reports

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * 3+ years of build engineering experience * Previous configuration management experience in a heterogeneous (Windows and UNIX) development environment * Able to implement a nightly smoke test system with automated results publishing * Familiarity with version control tools * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Detail oriented with good organizational skills * Collaborative/enjoys working in teams * Creative and effective problem solving skills * Ability to work on/manage multiple tasks concurrently
