Ok let me try to explain, What i want to do it, print to a dot matrix (pin printer) a text file or send directly data to it, for example, the lines below is what i want it to print:

line 1: joao silva 5 line 2: maria silva 3

and so and so...

in vb6 there was something like printer.print "textfile.txt" for the examples that i've saw on the net

I might be able to help if you explained your problem in better detail. There are several meanings of the word "line" that applies to dot matrix printers. Please clarify what you are trying to do, what you have already tried, what worked or didn't work and what model printer you are working with.

DecimalPeople, I know this if offtopic, Does anyone has an code example to print line by line to a dot matrix printer ? If someone can help me... i have the vb6 example but i need a .net

I thought all you had to do was send the text to the printer driver and it took care of all of that. Are you worried about something more graphical? Is that what you meant by line-by-line?
