I have MySQL 3.23.x running on a Windows 2000 server and would like to also run MySQL 5 on the same machine by binding the two instances to separate IP addresses. I'm installing MySQL 5.0.24a using the .msi installer package. What I'm concerned about is the service name. Will this overwrite the current "mysql" service running for 3.23? Can this be avoided?
