You're able to run it on HP Compaq nx9005 ?

Older compaq's; one pressario1600 and a E500

I'm afraid there is something more broken than ath driver. After unplugging the card, I'm also getting on console:

ath0: ath_reset: unable to reset hardware; hal status 3229953940 ath0: hardware error; resetting ath0: ath_chan_set: unable to reset channel 6 (2437 Mhz) ath0: ath_reset: unable to reset hardware; hal status 3229953940 ath0: detached

So,what cardbus hardware for an nx9005? for presario 1600 it's: cbb0: <TI1211 PCI-CardBus Bridge> at device 10.0 on pci0 cardbus0: <CardBus bus> on cbb0 pccard0: <16-bit PCCard bus> on cbb0

cbb0: <O2Micro OZ6933 PCI-CardBus Bridge> mem 0x80000000-0x80000fff irq 11 at
device 10.0 on pci0 cbb0: Reserved 0x1000 bytes for rid 0x10 type 3 at 0x80000000 cardbus0: <CardBus bus> on cbb0 pccard0: <16-bit PCCard bus> on cbb0

cbb1: <O2Micro OZ6933 PCI-CardBus Bridge> at device 10.1 on pci0 cbb1: Lazy allocation of 0x1000 bytes rid 0x10 type 3 at 0x80001000 cardbus1: <CardBus bus> on cbb1 pccard1: <16-bit PCCard bus> on cbb1 pcib0: matched entry for 0.10.INTA (src \\_SB_.PCI0.ISA_.LNKF:0) pcib0: slot 10 INTA routed to irq 11 via \\_SB_.PCI0.ISA_.LNKF cbb1: [MPSAFE]

I am still curious if you can get the card to work on _any_ other machine?

Yes, the card works perfect on all another machines.

The messages on uplugging would't realy worry me actually; it does detach eventualy. Could be wrong though. Perhaps some-one else can enlighten us on the ghz stuff: does it have any 'real' value, or is it just some hardware string?

Hmm. Probably best to sum things up, including all the dmesg outputs and take it over to -current. And perhaps including any info on other cards in these cbb's (do other cards work? same result for either cbb?) That is; unless any-one else has any sugestions. Perhaps some-one can provide some feedback on this combo (OZ6933+ath).
