Hi Geert,

Thanks for that.

Talking about IM, is it possible to use IM for monitoring only (not for start
and stop)? For instance, I have a separate script for start and stop but I want
IM to run on my machine and monitor the sql nodes and restart if they die for
some reason? Or, do I need to start the sql nodes for the IM to monitor them? If
this is the case, I will have to start the IM before I can start sql nodes. I guess.

What you can do with IM is explained here:

http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/instance-manager-commands.html

You can monitor instances yes. I guess lots of stuff can be made and will be added later..
