FYI - the first time I tried Mascon on my WIn2kPro box, it didn't work at all and I was rather non-plussed by it.
I have since re-downloaded the distribution and installed it. They had upgraded between my tries, and the newer version works perfectly. We are now using Mascon exclusively to manage the data in our MySQL servers - it's _much_ better than what we were previously using - Access 97/2000.
For those of you that tried it without success, I'd urge you to try again - its an excellent package, at a pretty reasonable price.

To answer a few remarks up to now: * Yes, Mascon is (unfortunately for *NIX) for Win32 platform (FOR NOW) * Yes, Mascon will better the MySQL and TcX cause on the Win32 platform, giving features very close to MS Access' * Yes, Mascon will get current Win32 clients to use *nix :) * Yes, SciBit Dev kept all the current *free* admin clients in mind while developing * Yes, SciBit Dev being command line junkings (CLJ), found it more efficient learning the shortcuts than doing admin using CL * Yes, the SciBit devs. all voted for the recent MySQL Linux poll * Yes, we'll release a Linux version in the future * Yes, SciBit all believe MySQL to be the best SQL server and the future of the SQL servers * Yes, it costs $, this is how we feed our families
