How do I set an installation consisting of Courier IMAP 4.1.1 and Courier authlib 0.58 to allow for logins with mixed case where all of my users already have accounts that are all-lowercase and strip off any @host after the username before it goes to PAM? I looked in the FAQ and didn't see anything about this, but it's pretty important.

This is a very site-specific custom configuration. You will have to write your own code to support your own unique requirements.

I read some previous documentation about touching a file called locallowercase in the etc directory of courier's tree, but I think that may be associated with a different package.

Correct. That has nothing to do with this.
