I am planning to substitute my Catalyst 2948G-L3 to a configuration from one to the other

The configs are going to be much different. Where the 2958G-L3 used BVI's (BVI <0-9>), the 3750 will use SVI's (Vlan <0-9>). The 2958G-L3 was configured much like a router (i.e. interfaces belonging to brige-groups, etc), the 3750 is like any of Cisco's L3 switches besides your former device.

Take the time to read through some same configs, if not the full document tree. Though you won't be able to directly cut'n'paste configs, the differences are inituitive and much improved.

Congrats on retiring a 2948G-L3...
