hi i am running a Asus en 8500GT silent magic 512mb Graphics card on windows vista HP

The SketchUp behavior you describe sounds like a graphics deficiency. Either the graphics hardware or driver file doesn't support OpenGL to the degree necessary to run SketchUp. I'm guessing here, since you didn't state whether you're using a PC or Mac. Either way, we would also need to know what operating system you're using. Any additional information about your system, graphics card, etc. would also help to diagnose the problem.

As a diagnostic test, try disabling 'Use hardware acceleration,' as described in the above document. ____________
