Hi Sinisa,

Are you using binary version from MySQL pages ??

Yes. I have installed the binary from mysql-3.22.27-sun-solaris2.6-sparc.tar.gz

Hi!

Please check again a patch level. There are thousands of Solaris 2.7 running the same binary with no problem.

I have found a pretty recent patch from 18.Nov that fixes some thread related problems and I will check into this.

But then, who of these thousands of Solaris 2.7 systems running the same binary have thousands of databases, thousands of MySQL-users and hundredthousands of queries a day on a heavily loaded machine ?

Greetings,

Yes, one of the installations, that I happened to have optimized, has Solaris 2.7 (SPARC !!), with the average 800 connections and 1800 queries per second !!! The average was calculated on 60 days uptime basis !! At peak, there are 1500 connections and 3000 queries per second.

Is that good enough ??

Sinisa
