I have two questions:

1. Will this be full compatibility? Audio/Video? File Transfer? 2. Will this imply AIM's compatibility with the rest of the Jabber network? Would AIM ditch OSCAR for Jabber?!

I also have one concern which stems from number two:

If this interoperability is not going to happen for all Jabber, in other words you can only interoperate through an official Gtalk client, I fear that there will much confusion when some people can communicate with each other, yet someone on the same buddy list will not be able to communicate with others if they aren't at a gmail addy.

Simply put I really hope that AIM changes to Jabber and adds it's members to this federation. At that point the network would truly be without parallel!
