Would having Gump build OSUser be of use to the OpenSymphony community? I've migrated to using Gump as my uber-Continous Integration environment for many of the Open Source projects I'm involved with. Not only does it run my unit tests, but it also runs against the latest and greatest of the Open source Jars I might ever compile against!

This is a good thing of course in the long run, but then becomes terrible if I don't plan on keeping up with the latest and greatest of each my dependencies. As far as OSUser is concerned, both propertyset and OSCore are installed in gump as versioned "packages". The only element that would be "latest and greatest" would be commons-logging.

If gump can't run OSUSer, then an email could be generated to the osworkflow mailing list. Would this be a good thing, or an annoyance? I can go with the snapshot version that you place on java.net, but even better from Gump's view of the world is to build OSUSer from scratch.

Gump really though only succeeds when folks are interested in keeping up with the latest and greatest, if you want I'll set it up. If not, a snapshot version will be good enough.

Here's a slightly more long winded "Why I like Gump" [1]

Eric

Hi Eric,

Unfortunately there isn't an official release. I could make a snapshot and put that on java.net, but your best bet is to build off of cvs.

Hi all,

I am attempting to get the Fulcrum projects wrapper around OSWorkflow to compile and run under Gump [1]. We have installed OSWorkflow as a package so that Gump doesn't have to build it from scratch. However, I am looking for a released version of OSUser to install as well. Right now it is looking for osuser-1.0-dev.jar. Is there a released version that could be installed? OSUser doesn't seem to be a project the same way as OSCache, OSCore etc are.

Alternatively, if there isn't a released version, I could just build it as part of Gump running everything else.
