fr den 15.09.2006 Klokka 10:15 (-0700) skreiv Pamela Rock:

I copied the code as it states below as well as some recommendations from other examples and it does not work.

May I ask how should I trouble shoot this?

1: If you're using RHEL4 (not what you originally quoted), do your OS and yourself a favor by installing both Courier authlib and Courier maildrop as rpms. by installing source code to /usr/local you're hanging yourself out on a limb. That's not necessary, Sam's made it easy for you.

What tools can I use to resolve this? I've looked over the maildrop man pages and I couldn't see anything that I thought would help.

2: Submit a test message to maildrop after installing your rebuilt authlib and maildrop rpms thus:

/usr/bin/maildrop -V5 -d youruseruid < testmessage and page through the output with your favorite pager. See for yourself at what stage your code is failing.

I don't think the rule syntax is the issue but rather I think there is a bigger issue (that's why I posted the details in earlier mailings).

You posted one single message, in which the rule syntax was completely wrong. This is the *only* issue, maildrop works perfectly for this site and thousands of others. We have no problem.

The only thing I can state for sure is that maildrop is accepting email from sendmail and delivering it to the maildir. There is something else wrong that I am not aware of.

Any help in trouble shooting would be appreciated.

Stick to Devi's syntax and advice and reread all the man pages until you understand them thoroughly.
