All,

I have a question regarding mailQuotas. I'm currently using Courier IMAP in
conjunction with LDAP and virtual domains/users. My question is this: If I
update the virtual users quota information on the LDAP server, how long does it
actually take for Courier IMAP to pickup and apply those changes ? I've read the
maildir and maildrop man pages and they say that "eventually" the maildirsize
file will reflect what is in LDAP. This, however, is unacceptable for our
purposes.

I ran an initial test by deleting all of the messages from a users inbox as
well as the maildirsize file. I then updated the users quota info in LDAP and
proceeded to send a test message to that account. When I looked in the
Maildir/, indeed the maildirsize file had been recreated and reflected the new
quota size. This would be an inefficient way to make courier adhere to the
updated quota info, but it works. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
