I thought this might be the case. But couldn't verify it.

Probably the easiest way to do something like this is to set up a reserved local mail account, with .courier files running various programs, and then set up aliases that point to addresses that correspond to those .courier files.

Just to be clear: if I want to point many aliases at this dummy account, what do I need?

alias "user@domain: dummyaccount", then have .courier-user?
