I notice that using 'exit' also means there's no record of the message in my .mailfiter.log. If there's no workaround for that, then I'll have to go back to /dev/nulling this crap.

I like to be able to say to folks, "Yes, I got your recent email message, but it was such a piece of junque that my anti-spam regime sent it directly to the Great Cyber-Bit-Bucket !"
