don't wish to get SSL support though. Is there any clean way to disable support for it? I could ofcourse get rid of any signs that openssl exists in my system, but that's not too pretty.

If you don't want SSL then you just remove it.

The thing is, the SSL installation in the system isn't complete, which prevents Courier IMAPd from compiling. Thus it'd be nice to be able to tell configure not to try to compile in support for SSL.
