Hi there,
courier-0.47
os: debian sarge
authentication module: authvchkpw -> vpopmail (5.4.17) to mysql backend
Sqwebmail returns an 'Invalid Username' error for an email address with
an apostrophe in it.
But authdaemon is working great. With debug on I can see
that the sqwebmaild and authdaemon both think the authentication is
good. For what it's worth I can also see that the correct sql query is
being made and the record is returned.
Some time /after/ the authentication and before sqwebmail goes
to show the inbox it says 'invalid user id or password'. I imagine it's
as simple as some variable not washing the single quote before creating
a timestamp file or something simple like that. I'm going to
start pouring through sqwebmail.c with my meager code ninja skills but
thought I would consult the collective consciousnes first.
Sorry if this is a repost. I've tried my hardest to search for any
thread on this but had no luck. (Tokens searched for: courier sqwebmail
authdaemon email with quote apostrophe)
There's probably a filter in sqwebmail that rejects IDs with quotes in them.
But, in any case, nobody's going to bother looking at the ancient version of
Courier that you're running.
