Sorry if this is a bit offtopic, but does anyone know of planned
support for offline message support (message caching for offline
recipients to be delivered when the recipient comes back online) as
suggested in JEP-0160?
This is one of the most compelling features I've gotten used to that's
fairly standard in other XMPP servers, and I think it would provide a
real advantage to using Google Talk that would help me move my friends
over from other annoying proprietary protocols.
Kudos on the federation support, BTW! My server is federated with
Google and that connection is a heck of a lot more reliable than the
one with a certain other popular Jabber server that shall remain
unnamed. It's really great to have a world-scale Jabber server out
there. Thanks!
Oh, one more suggestion. TLS on S2S connections! The second killer
feature for XMPP over all the others is its support for encryption.
But that's kind of moot if you've got part of the connection going in
the clear. Since TLS is already supported on C2S connections, I can't
imagine it would be too difficult to get it working for S2S as well.
