It seems that the built in chat in Google Apps for Youd Domain version Gmail ignores the XMPP settings under my domain's DNS (_XMPP, _SRV...) and alway connects to Google's XMPP servers. The problem is I want to use my own server to provide MSN, ICQ, etc. gateways for my users - and this seems impossible now. Anybody else run into this problem. Maybe my server could act as a router, and when it sees myu@mydomain.com log into Google's server, it routse messegas to it.

I'm not sure DNS is the problem as much as that you can't configure Google's servers make transports discoverable. AFAICT, this makes it impossible to set up transports on a Google-hosted domain.
