Hi Andi,

That's all I want. Someone to at least look at the patch and give me feedback. None here did that, all you're doing is telling "no, we don't accept it".

Why don't you give me some valuable feedback so I can work on the patch to turn it relevant to you?

Regards,

It seems to me that you are not interested on user's request and

Rasmus & Stas have already pointed out this is not valid and lots of user

requests are implemented.

I'd add that PHP has never had a lot of spare developer capacity.

Programmers are not idly sitting around, waiting for random ideas to code

up.  If you feel strongly about a feature you have to convince the core

contributors of its merits and (i) pique the interest of someone capable of

implementing it and then help with testing and documentation, or (ii)

implement it all yourself.

It's easier than ever to get an SVN account, so contributing would be a good

way to get karma.

I agree but also want to emphasize that just because there’s a patch it doesn’t mean it’s a good idea and should be accepted.

Of course like Chris points out it’ll significantly increase the chances of people taking it seriously and playing around with the idea.

I also think Matthew makes a good point – annotations can be viewed in different ways and arguably there are already quite a lot of possibilities with what exists today.
