Hi,

Hi,
First let me congratulate you to the fanstatic ease of setup of this tool. I am not an expert and managed to get it up in a few minutes. Truly impressive!
My question relates to email. I have setup the SMTP server settings but it seems that my hoster does not provide the ability to run the cron jobs as listed in the install file as I am using a shared space and php is not accessable under /user/bin/php
I tried it and it returns an error. What is the alternative way to get this working?
You can call the cronjobs from the web interface, i.e. http://example.com/misc/process_mail_queue.php
If 'wget' is available on your host, you can use this in your cronjob.
Second question is that it is not fully clear what settings to activate so emails are sent. Our developer asked for an email when an issue is opened and assigned to him. I could not find where to set this in the user profile or with general settings (I am a super user, so see all settings).
You actually can't see this setting for him, it is only viewable by the user on his preferences page. However, since the cron jobs haven't been running, no one would have gotten any mail yet. Mail in Eventum is inserted into a queue, then processed by the cron job.
