Here is the solution:

put :

DEFAULT=Maildir

into the global "maildroprc" (/etc/maildroprc)

Its works now:

# maildrop -d aamacha3 -V 9 < /etc/hosts maildrop: authlib: groupid=1000 maildrop: authlib: userid=40729 maildrop: authlib: logname=aamacha3, home=/home/unid/ccet/tst1/aamacha3, mail=(default) maildrop: Changing to /home/unid/ccet/tst1/aamacha3 Message start at 0 bytes, envelope sender=aamacha3 Tokenized string: "DEFAULT" Tokenized = Tokenized string: "Maildir" Tokenized ; Tokenized eof /etc/maildroprc(1): DEFAULT="Maildir" maildrop: Attempting .mailfilter maildrop: Delivery complete.
