Hello,

I am really interested in "mobile ad-hoc networking" (http:// en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_ad_hoc_network).

Think about it. Mobile phones could create a vast ad hoc network... You could send "SMS" for free using this network. You could chat for free. You could develop new kind of social networks. You could connect this network with the Internet (some standard WIFI routers already handle it). ...

Some open source projects allow to create such networks. For example: "OLSR" and "B.A.T.M.A.N". These implementations run on Linux. Some runs on Zaurus.

Will Android encourage mobile ad-hoc networking?

May be the "killer application" ;-)
