Hi,
Thanks for the mail.
Which of the '*.sh' files for delivering does you
use?
I do not get this. sh file. what .sh file are u
telling about?
getmail has getmailrc and I run it as root.
If you use the 'home|home+df' then you must change
the 'rc' file, you
can try the the following:
exec env - PATH="$YOUR_QMAIL_PYTH/bin:$PATH"
qmail-start '|maildrop' \
splogger qmail
I don't get this too. I am using getmail, which does
not use qmail for downloading mail unlike fetchmail.
It downloads mails and dirctly store them in users
Maildir.
Here one possibility for the '.mailfilter'-file:
----------------
if(/^(To|Cc|From): .*qmail.*@list\.cr\.yp\.to.*/)
{
to ~/Mail/qmail/
}
if(/^(To|Cc|From):
.*courier-maildrop.*@.*\.sourceforge\.net/)
{
to ~/Mail/maildrop/
}
.
I have to test this yet. I will test it. But my main
problem is still where do I apply maildrop.
As getmail does not require a SMTP, where do I use
maildrop.
Also, PLEASE PLEASE tell me where to get docs about
this so called filtering language of maildrop.
I have a feeling that procmail docs are more extensive
and simpler.
----------------
mailboxes ~/Mail/qmail ~/Mail/maildrop ...
----------------
I have
set spoolfile=~/Maildir/
set mbox_type=Maildir
It is enough?
Well i hope you wan't to learn ;-)
I want to learn but I get ANGRY when filter (read
procmail/maildrop) and email clients (read mutt) get
more difficult than the server (read qmail).
Please help me out. i am getting really frustated
because of this mutt thing.
My only aim at this moment is to stop using kmail and
switch to mutt. So, I require maildrop.
And I don't know how to use it with getmail.
With regards.
