This kind of a situation occurs very rarely. I must admit to being a bit lazy sometimes. If this begins to happen all the time, I'll do something.

IOW: You won't do anything, as it's happening to rarely :)

But that's fine. The workaround is very easy.

But, would it work, if I'd do

DEFAULT_DEF="whatnot" ./configure

Would that work?
