This is exactly why I can't use OE. As much as I hate to admit it, it was the only one that did not blow up with some form of disconnect error. It performed flawlessly. I'll keep looking.... :)

Why not consider using sqwebmail/maildrop filtering instead of OE's? IMO server side filtering is much more efficient and such a combination (OE, sqwebmail filter and courier imap) performs better than any other.
