Courier maildrop gets delivered source and rpm with a large amount of documentation. Make sure you have it all.

Of note is that there are two different packages, courier-maildrop and maildrop. The former is compiled for use with the Courier MTA and should not be used with Postfix. The latter is the standalone version which is what you should have installed.
