No idea, the same thing started happening to me two weeks ago. I sent a message to support saying "Service not found" but not using the term API, so I did get an actual reply saying my account look fine and could I provide more details. I replied and did mention the API, and I got hit with the generic "You're using the API? GFY" email.

Could Google please add this issue to the FAQs or something. Since tech support seems to refuse to help with it, it might be nice to, you know, help the most technically savvy people who want to provide Google with the most useful information about products in a format that is easily parsable.

I have had an application posting successfully to google base when all of a sudden I'm receiving a 404 and this response:

<errors> <error type="request" reason="Service not found"/> </errors>

The same response occurs on the base page when querying /base/feeds/ items/ but /base/feeds/snippets/ works just fine. I get the same 404 error even when using insert with the provided data on the demo page. I have generated new auth tokens a few times and did upgrade to a multi use token.

I searched the forum and saw that contacting google helped but when I did they asked me to check/post here and check the docs.

Has anyone found a solution to this?
