I hope a google employee reads this, although I'm not even sure I'm posting in the right place...

That said I think it would be great if there was a way to use your map feature to find businesses. I don't mean by typing in the biz name and the map showing me where they are I mean sort of the opposite. I think you should offer to list what businesses are located at or near a certain address or intersection. So say I just moved into a new neighborhood and want to know what shops are within a 5 mile radius. I'd like to be able to type in an intersection, have the map feature take me there and then be able to drag my mouse over stores and have the map tell me what stores they are, address, phone number, hours maybe, website, etc.

I have a friend job hunting in my neighborhood and it would be nice to be able to see what stores and businesses are around without having to drive up and down the streets. This seems like something you all could do. Good luck and I hope to see this feature soon.
