Uhm, how silly of me. I've enabled the workaround as per the FAQ and it seems OK now. I still don't know why there was no problem for ages, then suddenly it hit, but there you are.

Sorry for wasting time etc.

Best Regards,

Brian

Hi there,

Can anyone help me please. I've got a test system based around courier-imap-1.3.1 with the latest qmail. I'm using netscape communicator 4.76 (yes I know, but Outlook is crap - what else can I use on Windows NT? ;-) to retrieve messages using ssl. I _don't_ have the bugfix enabled for netscape.

Occasionally, though now more and more frequently, I'm getting "Error in IMAP command received by server" in netscape when I click the "Get Msg" button to get new email. Also when update mail every xxx minutes is enabled, it is silently having the same problem, and thus is not showing me any new emails.

Doing a snoop between my client and the courier imap server reveals the following conversation:-

"16 UID fetch -1,95606:95613,-1,95614:95635 (UID RFC822.SIZE BODY.PEEK[])"

"16 NO Error in IMAP command received by server.\r\n"

The command may be incomplete - I'm not sure if the snoop is showing me everything or not.
