Thought I was going mad but adding this uncached gadget is still not showing up the lastest version. If I check out the source, there is a fn called alphaNumeric which just is not appearing when its rendered in iGoogle.

I have made changes to one of my gadgets and these changes are not showing up when it's rendered on iGoogle - despite of course having the developer module set to NOT cache the contents of the my gadget. I have not experienced this problem before. I wonder if it's related?
The URL to the gadget
ishttp://visitormap.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/visitorMap-dev.xml
- the cached version just keeps showing up. No sign of the new
function I have added and committed to svn.

Dann, it appears my gadget is also affected by this. In fact, even
attaching a random number to the end of the url doesn't help. You can
view my original post
athttp://groups.google.com/group/Google-Gadgets-API/browse_thread/threa...
or view the actual gadget athttp://www.gibixonline.com/Gadgets/xtreamxm-v1.0.xml
. I originally thought this could be because I also send some headers,
but I don't think this is the case.
Thanks! Joshua

Hey everyone,
Thanks for reporting this to us. Can you post the URLs to your gadgets? I'd like to test and troubleshoot this myself.
It sounds like the refresh interval parameter isn't working properly, but it could be something else related to the outgoing request from the _IG_Fetch...() calls.
Thanks,
Dann

Hi Was,
The cache systems had very bad problems for a couple of days a month ago, and was finally fixed. The issues were not global, but only impacting some users at some times. For the past month, I noticed as well some issues a couple of times fetching content with one of my gadget, and I had customer reporting problems looking very similar to what a cache issue would cause.
I think what you have done here is the best we can do: when we experience the issue, post a message on the board with as much information as we have. Some Googlers are monitoring the board, and are reporting the issues to the right teams. Hopefully, they will reach the point where things are 100% smooth. We are not there yet though...

Hi,
two of my gadgets have stopped to load the data today (_IG_FetchFeedAsJSON). One of them I've fixed by removing random parameter in url and refreshContent parameter. Another gadget cannot load the data (feed is undefined), the data is an xml file generated by php-script and is also used by desktop gadget, which is working fine.
Has anyone the same trouble? And what is correct way to use { refreshInterval: 30 } parameter with _IG_FetchFeedAsJSON function. If I add it to parameter list, gadget stops loading data.
