Hey Emjay,
I need to know how to make sure it's updated daily on users homepage.
Gadgets are public XML files hosted on the server of your choice. We cache all gadget specs every hour. So whenever you make a change, users should typically start to see them after about an hour.
What string must I put in there? Would someone be kind enough to type it exactly whow it is supposed to look please?
I'm not sure I understand the question here. Can you clarify please?
Also, I submitted to the gadget directory with my first effort (which is diaboliocal) and it won't refresh to the latest version! Any advice?
The directory takes a snapshot of your gadget's metadata and is cached approximately every week. This includes all attributes under <ModulePrefs> such as title, description, author, author_email, etc. After updating these fields, it typically takes between 1-2 weeks for the directory to reflect the changes. This does *not* apply to gadget content, meaning you're free to edit your gadget's content area even after it's been submitted and have the changes update every hour.
Hope this helps, Dann
