Hi Roger,
I not sure what the MS products do, but I use MySQLFront from http://www.anse.de/mysqlfront/
It works well.
Well, mysqlfront is a great tool and I usually use it to create and manage my mysql server,db & tables ... but my actually prob. is:
- I need a tool to easy create forms that manage data retrieve from one or more mysql tables .... I mean: 1) with MS Access 97 you can (on a .mdb file) create a link to a mysql table (via MyODBC) and then create a form that work with that data 2) with Lotus Approach you can do the same thing but (in my opinion) it's not so valid 'cause in some condition you can drop the mysql table 3) with Scibit Mascon you can easy create report from one or more mysql table/s, but you can't edit or manage the data retrieve 4) and so on ....
Of course, I can do it (the forms to manage data retrieve from a mysql db) with PHP (or Perl,or VB,or etc) but I'm wondering if exist another way to do it more quickly ....
Thank again. max
Hi, I'm looking for a tool that could create quick (& dirty) GUI to my mysql table (in same way as MS Access 97 does via MyOdbc) in order to
manage
their
data .... Anyone knows:
- if there's a patch for MS Access 2000 that solve its odbc prob.? - if MS Access 2002 is affected by the same ODBC prob. of MS Access 2000? - suggest me a valid alternative to solve my prob.? (eg. Lotus
Approach in
my opinion is not so valid because it could drop mysql table in same case ...)
many thanks in advance max
