I'm network administrator in student organisation and I need mysql to create
database for our contacts. I was trying to install the newest stable version of
MySql, but after that the server stoped working properly.. The server was
launching some hours and only screen "preparing network conenction" was
flashing.The system was totally unstable I finally uninstall this in safe mode.
Has anybody had some problems as me. I'm affrais of installing another version,
because this server is used also as web, ftp, mail server and all our data are
stored on it. At home I've got any problems with MySql under Win2k. It was windows 200 advanced server with SP4 and MySql 4.0.13 running on Pentium
III 733 MHz 392MB motherboard Abit BX133 RAID. If you need more information, please let me know...
