I am successfully using perforce inside VS.NET 2003 and I have no such
problems. I don't use numbered changelists, but just default
changelists 95% of the time.
Have you tried using the 'Refresh Status' command inside the IDE so it
knows about the checked out files, if you checked them out from the
outside.
Sorry no other ideas.

We're trying to get perforce to work inside MS Visual Studio .NET 2003.
I can check files out from inside msvstudio, and if I have the files in
a numbered changelist I can check them back in. However, if I have my
files checked out in the default changelist, when I attempt to check
them in from inside the IDE, it thinks there are no files in the default
changelist. Has anyone else experienced this or have a guess as to
what could be causing it?
We're using a 2004.2/69137 server on linux and 2004.2/74829
clients on WinXP.
Thanks.
