Hello,
I do have an /etc/maildropldap.config. Running 'strings maildrop | grep
ldap' shows that it is indeed using /etc/maildropldap.config as the path to
the file. Here is my maildropldap.config file(certain parts altered, of
course):
hostname localhost
basedn dc=y,dc=x
filter &(&(objectclass=qmailUser)(accountStatus=active))
binddn cn=x,dc=x,dc=x
bindpw password
timeout 5
search_method mail
default_uidnumber 408
default_gidnumber 408
mail_attr mail
uid_attr uid
maildir_attr mailMessageStore
homedirectory_attr mailMessageStore
quota_attr mailQuotaSize
The attributes match up with a test user I'm using.. What part of this
specifies whether to send to the system uid, or to the maildir_attr
specified path? Also, this works fine by using the command line
'maildrop -d user@host < testfile', so it appears to be reading ldap just
fine..
Andre

Subject: Re: [maildropl] Maildrop with LDAP, delivers to qmail user
insteadof ldap user

Why is mail being delivered to ~vmail/Maildir/ instead of the users
mailMessageStore? Should I be invoking maildrop from my qmail rc instead
of
deliveryProgramPath?
Because /etc/maildropldap.config tells it so. If you do not have an
/etc/maildropldap.config, then defaults will apply.
If you compiled maildrop for LDAP support, then search around in the
compile directory for documentary support.
