Nevermind, I went to lunch(frustrated) and returned full and happy. A full stomach will fix many issues! Anyway, I forgot to add the --enable-trusted-users='root alias' to my maildrop config! Apparntly I figured that out the first time I build maildrop, but it escaped me the second time :)

Hi, I'm using qmail with maildrop and courier-imap. I've been following a nice maildrop+imap+qmail howto to set up my imap server. http://howtos.eoutfitters.net/email/old/ It was working great, until, I did something that screwed everything up and I get this bounce message /usr/local/bin/maildrop: You are not a trusted user. when sending mail to a (virtual) user on that machine. Note: mail to qmail aliases is working fine.

The only thing I did was reinstall maildrop with the quota support(which didn't work anyway!)

So I rebuilt it again exactly as the first, walked through this howto line by line and tried to do everything the way I did the first time. But still no luck? What could have changed?

Also, there's no search tool for this lists archives, so I went back pretty far and searched through the subj. lines for this error, sorry if it's already been covered!

thanks, Steve
